Applying on Seaoil Inc.

Applying on Seaoil Inc experience

I've been looking for a job opening in our province on Jobstreet and while searching the results gave me some Position on Seaoil Inc.

The Positions available in our province are Station Administration and Smile Coach.I both applied on the said positions.

I said to myself why dont a gave it a shot because the requirements is fit for the course i took.

After a few days a received a text message from Seaoil to go for an interview. The interview is in the baranggay hall of our proper town since the Seaoil Station on our town is not yet finish.

So i went their and look for the one that is in the text message to look for.

After that she introduced herself and we have some chit chat and told me that he came from Manila just for this interview.Since the interview and exam is in the baranggay hall i expect a lot of competitors for Station Administration but lucky their are only a few because one requirement is Accountancy Course or Business course. So from I've got a little edge plus I have an accounting work experience thanks to my former job.

So after a little chit chat, the Girl (I dont know her exact position) gave me the application form, the test and a personality test.

Since we are in the province they didn't gave us any time limit on our exam. The exam is 84 items but is time consuming. You must be familiar with some english words, good in logic, number sequence and mathematical problem solving.Personality test is a test that best describe you.By the way their is an essay exam so be sure you have some knowledge on the Company your applying for.

Their are two interviews. The first one is about your resume only, no hard questions on my side. Also we use Tagalog so it's so easy to answer for me.Second Interview is somewhat easy.Their are questions like are willing to go to the next nearest station incase you are needed their.Another is have you encountered handling people.Well for me we have some OJT on my former job so that is the I use as an experience on handling people.

The second Interviewer explained to me the true nature of Station Administration. In jobstreet it is said the you will handle Accounting and Administrative jobs. What they did not put in their post is that you need to look for big group of clients and persuade them to buy in your station. He told  me if I'm willing to talk with the President of our transportation group to get some key accounts. So in other words you must have a good marketing strategy in here.Well I'm in that situation already and just told them that I can do it.

He also told me that if ever i've got a call from them i must under go some training. 4 days lessons and 4 days actual.I thing i dont like is that you must pay first for all the expenses that you will occur during your training and you will get your reimbursement later on.Also the actual is so far away from our town and that would be an disadvantage to me.Maybe not only me but also for those who will be training for sure because were in the same town.

From more than 20 applicants, in the second interview we are only 5.Well some of those applied as cashier and gas crew.I dont know how many applied for station administration and did not get a secone interview.

Wish me luck guys.Il update this if i've got a call from them and started training.

Boracay Licensed Tourist Coordinators

Experienced travelers to the Philippines usually know about this developed tourist destination.Boracay, Aklan is a small island located near panay island. From Manila it is about one hour flight to Kalibo airport or Caticlan Airport. For newcomer and as well for repeat visitors be aware of the certified accommodation "coordinator."These tourist workers are guides and will provide assisstance to any visitors for the purpose of finding an appropriate hotel or beach resort. The guests has no payment obligations to these housing guides as the hotel establishment reimburses them on a commission basis.

When my friends wants to go to boracay they always tell me to book them thru my befriended coordinator. She always help me find room at a good rate.I sometimes get lower rates compared to the fixed rate of the hotel/room because she deducts the difference on her commission. Example the rate is 1000 pesos and their commission on that room is 20% or 200 pesos, she can give it to me for just 900.The 100 pesos difference is deducted to her commission so her commission is only 100 pesos.Well she only give that kind of discount if you will stay for a long night or your group will occupy many rooms.

Before i forgot,if you reserve or book a room you must deposit half of your total bill or you can pay the whole amount.Anyway if you have paid the whole amount and your trip to Boracay is cancelled, you cant ask for a refund but you can have rescheduled your booking for the ROOMRATE only valid for one year. That is what our coordinator told us.But other coordinators will tell you that it cant be rescheduled. Instead they keep that room for them and sell it to other guest. So be wise also on choosing your coordinator.Make sure he or she is licensed.

Also you can have your transportation from the Van (if your from Kalibo airport) to the motorboat and the multicab (unless you want to walk from the port to your accomodation room) be arranged at a lower price. We only paid 600 pesos per person (one way only).Included in that is the environmental fees and terminal fee that you should pay before entering Boracay. This fees is not within the reach of the coordinators. Our government are the one that imposed this fees except the for the environmental that when your a local in Aklan you dont have to pay.

You can also arranged your island activities on these coordinators too. Also if  just went to Boracay without accommodation this coordinators can find you one easily.Well I can give you my contact coordinator if you want.Just dont huggle for a very low low price especially when its a peak season.Peak season starts from November to May and lean season from June to October.Room rates are expensive when peak season and rooms are limited. So what are you waiting for?Contact a coordinator now and book your vacation!

Lovebird Breeding Tips

Here are some Eyering Lovebird Tips in Caring and Breeding

How to take care properly of your Lovebirds

  • Make sure to give enough bird seed mixed. This bird seed mixed is composed of canery, red millet and oat growth.
  • Change the water everyday. In a week give water with vitamins in 3 days.
  • Give vegetables to your bird two to three times in a week. Best example is Moringa Oleifera or Malunggay.
  • Make sure to bathe them two to three times in a week so that they will be parasite free.
  • Keep them in moderate temperature room.
  • Make sure to have a large cage for your Maturing Lovebirds for them to exercise properly. The bigger the cage the faster the bird will mature.

Breeding tips

  • Before putting pair in a cage make sure that they are not quarrelling with one another.
  • Its advisable to keep your Pair of Lovebirds in a large cage. Also make your that the pair is Cock and a Hen or else even if you wait for millions of years it won’t produce any egg.
  • You can use a double cage technique. I cage for the hen the other for the cock.In that way they can develop to one another much faster.

Cheap Boracay tips

My father is from province of Aklan. We always go there for vacation.Eventhough our ancestral place is not in Boracay, we always find some time to go there and enjoy the bonding just for several days.

Here are some tips I can give:

1. Go to Boracay on off seasons. This is from month of June-October. Ticket flights from Manila to Caticlan/Manila to Kalibo can just range from 1,000-2,000 pesos. There is a round trip of 2,500 also available at Zest Air during the months I have given. Also night flights are also cheaper but I would not recommend that.
  • If you’re in a hurry take a flight from Manila - Caticlan. It will be 20 minutes away from the Island of Boracay
  • If you want to enjoy the view and wait for 30-45 minutes travel time you can take Manila - Kalibo flight. Kalibo is much further from Boracay itself and Kalibo is the capital of Aklan.

2. I recommend booking a flight to Zest air. Best quality service compare with Cebu Pacific. There is always a compensation package when their flights are delayed.PAL is out of the question. They are the no. 1 in service.

3. When you get there in KALIBO AIRPORT you can have the option to ride on a bus or L3.
  • L3 one way trip to Boracay will cost you 150 pesos
  • Bus fee is somewhat like 200+
  • I recommend you to take the bus instead of the L3.You will know why this is recommended if you try to ride in a L3 =)

4. If you want to save from Basic Grocery needs you can also buy in Kalibo because it’s much cheaper there.
  • From Kalibo International Airport you can ask where you can ride a tricycle.
  • After you have found where the tricycle lane is, asks the driver to bring to "GAISANO".Gaisano is like a mini mall version if you will compare it to malls here in Manila.

  • Negotiate for the price. When the drivers knew that you’re from Manila/abroad they always tend to know that you have lots of Cash. Their price ranges from 150-200 just to get you in the Capital Proper. If you’re a group, you can settle for 150 price. Anyway the Tricycle is big. It’s not like the Tricycle here in Manila. It can hold up to 7 passengers.
  • After you have bought your grocery go outside Gaisano and ride another tricycle and tell him to go to "Crossing of Western Union near Metrobank".They know where it is.Don't worry the fare would only be 7 pesos per person.
  • When you get to the Western Union, there is L3 lane for you to ride going to Boracay. Fare price is from 150-200 pesos per person, depending on the driver.

5. There’s also some called "Coordinators”. I can describe them as middle men for you and the Hotel and transport. You can see this "Coordinators" in the airport and in the Jetty Port (the port before going to the Island of Boracay).

  • This coordinator will take care of your lodging if you haven't book any and your transportation to Boracay and transportation going to the Airport again. You don't have to pay this "Coordinators”. Well it’s up to you if you want to give some tips to them.
  • You will still pay your bills on the place where you will stay and the Driver of your Transportation. They will just get a commission from the Hotel itself/the driver.
  • I recommend you to get one of this in the Jetty Port if you haven't book any. It would be hard to get lodging once you’re in Boracay and haven't reserved anything.
  • Also if they ask you if it is your first time in Boracay just answer honestly. Because if it is your first time the”Coordinators" will tell you the DO's and DONT's, where to go and where not to go. Also they will also tell some "pamahiin" or some "bad spells”. Example is when someone gave you a drink, dont accept it because there is a saying there that if you drink it there are chances that you will get sick and medical remedies can’t cure you. Just some "Albolaryo" style of antidote can cure you.
  • Our family has this contact coordinator that always takes care of all the things from lodging to transportation so if you want one you can contact ME!

Well that's all I can give you. Feel free to post your questions.
